How Direct Transfer Film (DTF) Works

Design Preparation

Start by creating your digital design using graphic design software. Make a Gangsheet, a single sheet with multiple designs, using our Gangsheet maker tool.

Film Printing and Application

Upload and we'll print it onto a special film using DTF printers. The film becomes the carrier for the design during the transfer process, covered with adhesive powder for the next step.

Heat Transfer Process

After delivering the printed films to your doorstep, position the film on the material. Apply heat and pressure, melting the adhesive powder to create a lasting bond between the design and the material.

What is DTF printing?

DTF stands for Direct to Film. We print your design on a special film, and you can press it onto fabric with heat. It works on cotton, polyester, blends, and more!

What can I print with DTF?

T-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, hats, and even shoes! If it’s fabric, DTF can probably print on it.

How do I order?

Just upload your design using our easy upload tool, choose your sheet size, and check out. We’ll take care of the rest!

What file types do you accept?

We recommend PNG with a transparent background. High-resolution files (300 DPI) work best.

Can I send multiple designs on one sheet?

Yes! That’s called a Gang Sheet. Use our free Gang Sheet Builder to arrange your designs and make the most of your space.

Do you offer custom sizes or bulk discounts?
